Operated by the Hills Shire Council, this sports park is home to soccer, baseball, tennis and rugby league, and recently gained a large carpark and became the training home of the Parramatta Eels NRL team.
Edgewater Connections was initially engaged to provide lighting design and electrical reticulation for the new carpark and road entry off Stonemason Drive, working with C&M Consulting Engineers. As the project progressed, Edgewater was engaged by the Hills Council to provide advice regarding supply availability for the sport fields and proposed future works.
We were also commissioned to manage a suitable electricity supply and coordinate with the field lighting and electrical and communications distribution requirements of the Parramatta Eels, bearing in mind future works. This included ASP Level-3 design to establish a new Padmount substation and coordinating with NBN Co. to deliver communications services to the NRL club’s new training facility. Edgewater also provided design support to Council and streamlined processes for the project’s very tight construction timeline.
The scope of Edgewater’s project included:
Endeavour Energy Level-3 ASP Distribution Design
- One new Padmount substation.
Private Electrical Reticulation
- Site demand assessment and advice.
- Private street lighting.
- Private conduits and reticulation to existing distribution.
- Development registration and stage applications.
- Coordination with the NBN deployment team for connection of NBN services.
